How much is it to use What?

It is completely free for users to register and use. We do not charge users any fees for our services.

Do you guarantee businesses?

We do not guarantee any business or their products or services. Any guarantee or assurances that are implied by any business are solely provided by the business and not What. We always advise any consumer to carry out their own due diligence.

Will I get lots of targeted ads?

What, is different from most platforms. We only show you relevant local information from businesses you have shown an interest in.

How can I trust Businesses on What?

When a business is Verified by What, we have carried out checks on that business. You will also see reviews and approval ratings from other users. What, gives you the opportunity to make a fully informed decision.

What do you do with my data?

We ask for your post code so we can tailor the platform to give you a local experience. We do not pass on any of your information to any business or 3 rd party. Only businesses that you contact will receive the information that you have approved.

Why should I register?

It is completely free to register and use what. Exclusive offers are only available to What registered users. To use other features on What, you will need to register. You can Post A Job, send messages directly to businesses, add events to your calendar, Sync with businesses and add items to your shortlists. As a registered user, you can easily manage all of this from your own dashboard when logged in.

Why is there a calendar in my dashboard?

Your What Calendar allows you to add all the fantastic events you are interested in from the public calendar. This way you can be sure you will not miss out on any great local events. You can also add your own personal appointments and reminders for anything important. What will conveniently send you a friendly reminder so you’ll never forget granny’s birthday again!

What is Post a job?

Save yourself time trying to contact businesses. Post your job and let What do the rest. We will only offer your job to verified members. You can also select the number of responses you would like for your job. You choose which member you would like to carry out the work.

Is What a social media site?

At the moment, What, connects local businesses with their local community. Business members can post news and information in What’s Happening, where users can respond and leave comments. We are currently developing more exciting new social features for users and launching them soon.

Can I sell my own items on What?

To sell on What, you need a registered standard or verified account. You can set this up as a business even if you are a sole trader who sells items regularly or occasionally. We use Stripe payment services for transactions. It’s free to set up and connect your own stripe account to start receiving payments through What.
