Paper plays an important part in our business here at What, especially when it comes to the production of our quarterly magazine. We feel that it is our responsibility to preserve the world we live in by playing our part in minimizing our impact on the environment.
We work with Trees for Life, where we have our own grove (aptly named ‘What Forest’) where we plant trees to offset our carbon footprint due to the amount of paper used in our business.
When do we plant trees?
We plant trees in the What Forest to offset the paper used when we publish an issue of the What magazine. The number of trees we plant will depend on how many issues of the magazine are published, and the size of the magazine.
We also plant 1 tree a year per verified member on the What platform.
For every 100 businesses that register for a free profile on What, we will also be planting 1 tree.
How can I get involved?
Well if you’re a verified member on What, then you’re already helping! We will plant 1 tree on your behalf.
Plus, registering a free account will help us reach the next 100 registered quicker, which will be another tree planted.
There is also the option on the Trees for Life website to plant your own trees in our grove or provide a donation to help support Trees for Life.
Anyone can decide to plant a tree in our grove, for any reason. Do you want to plant trees on behalf of your business? Maybe you want to purchase a tree as a gift? The choice is yours.
